Student Leadership

Sponsor-Erin Figert

Junior Emerging Leaders is a district leadership program that connects Amazing Shake in the elementary school to the Emerging Leaders program at the high school level.  It is an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, to think critically about the world around them, work collaboratively with others, serve both their school and community, and develop skills that will help them be contributing citizens in our community, our state, and our country.

Junior Emerging Leaders play an important role on both our campus and in our community.  As a member of Junior Emerging Leaders, you are given the opportunity to develop ideas that would increase student involvement in school-wide activities and help offer suggestions that would  benefit the staff, students, and community.  You are expected to be a positive leader in our school community.  Students will be required to attend meetings that are held Mondays after school until 4:30 pm.  Meetings will be held twice a month and it is highly recommended that students attend both, but they are required by the district to attend at least 1.
